Installed plugin to test, immediately after activating the plugin, my site refused to load. I removed the plugin with SSH and found that it had created 3000 post pages. After removing those pages in batches of 250 at a time, I think that I will search for a different plugin.
I did not attempt to contact support so I can’t comment on the level of support that the developer offers but wanted to offer my review as a word of warning.

Did not work on my site but customer service was top notch.
I bought the pro version. I installed the plugin, when I entered the API it looped forever. I then was not able to access my website anymore. I had to remove the plugin from the ftp.
I was offered to try to fix it but choose a refund instead.

It runs very well with many other plugins and the support is very fast and efficient.

Plugin didn’t work from the beginning.
Bought the next service, didn’t connect with MailChimp
Locked me out of my account for over a week
Customer support is actually useless.

This plugin does exactly what it says, but in reality it does so much more. Sometimes you just NEED to gather extra user info, and Simple User Registration handles it like a charm.
There’s also everything else the plugin supports (such as login redirects and custom email templates for new registrations). All in all, it’s a neat little gem that takes care of multiple things all at once. All from one single plugin.
Highly recommended.
